Cross-Cultural Communication Example Argentina - Greeting
In Argentina people's names consist of the name of the father and the husband.
Mrs. Ibarra de Chair is addressed with the second name, Mrs. Chair, while the name
Ibarra stands for the name of her father and the name Chair for that of her husband.
The "de" stands between both names and means Mrs. Ibarra of Chair when translated.
Otherwise, the greeting ritual is the same as in Spain. When shaking hands you should
pay attention that you do not shake the hand of your business partner too firmly.
This is regarded as impolite.
