Cross-Cultural Communication - Example Spain - Greeting

In general the Spaniards greet each other until around 1:00 p.m. with "buenos días" ("Good day"),
and then they say "buenas tardes" ("Good afternoon"). After around 9:00 p.m. they switch to
"buenas noches" ("Good evening" or "good night"). During the day they also use "hola" ("hello")
when greeting one another and "adíos" ("Good-bye") or "hasta luego" ("See you later ") when saying
good-bye.

When addressing someone personally, they say "Good Day /Evening, Mr./Mrs. ...".
It is also common to use just Señora, Señorita or Señor, without mentioning the name. It is also
common to distinguish between the title Mrs. and Ms.

The Spaniards have a great deal of national pride. This is expressed by their body language, their
appearance and posture. Like the Argentineans, they radiate self-confidence.
